Or how the contemporary European supremacy on football is jeopardizing Pelé’s records.

Needless to say how great Pelé’s achievements are, and that the entire world acknowledges his importance for the beautiful game. If you remember the closing ceremony of the London Olympics you cannot forget how the Wembley stadium whole audience stood up to salute the King of Football. As playful as the game can be, so are its audience and its players who sometimes feel inclined to question Pelé’s kingdom. It began with the Argentinian Di Stefano, a Real Madrid player, who was said to be bigger than Pelé. Then the Dutch Johan Cruyff from Ajax was the one trying to steal Mr. Nascimento’s crown. After his retirement another Argentinian, named Diego Armando Maradona, appeared to amaze the world, and their discussions through the international press were better than any TV-Series. Since the last decade, we hear a lot about Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Although the fairest way to compare players is through their achievements, in Football world, emotion sometimes surpasses reason. Thus, how can we find out a solution to prove that the best player ever is really the best player ever?
